About the Role

We are looking for a professional and competent Salon Assistant to join our team.
Your role as an Assistant involes:
Assisting with salon reception duties; scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, texts and emails, handling cash/credit transactions.
Preparing refreshments for guests while they wait for their stylist.
Applying and maintaining a safe work area and contributing to the salon cleanliness of the salon overall.
Assisting senior staff with tasks and services; shampooing, treating & drying hair.
Keeping track of inventory; hair colour and general salon supplies.
Meet customers with exceptional customer service abilities, and guide them to where they should be seated.
Should be capable of multitasking and have efficient time-management abilities.
Respond well to feedback, and take constructive feedback without issue.
Must work well as part of a team or individually, even with minimal supervision.
Maintain confidentiality & professionalism.
Requirements
Must Have:
Secondary School (preferred), Highschool Diploma
As a salon Assistant you should be prepared to work in a variety of shifts and be on your feet for most of the day. An assistant’s responsibilities include:
